What I do

Loyalty and payments platforms

Built cross-brand loyalty and paylater products from zero to millions of users, then kept them running under live transaction load.

Platform and rules systems

Designed modular rules engines so several brands could share one platform without sharing one codebase.

Fraud and risk decisions

Turned promo abuse that only surfaced in monthly reports into rule-based prevention, cutting exposure by up to IDR 150M a month.

Leading product squads

Led cross-functional squads of five to ten people through roadmaps, PRDs, and a points migration that ran with no rollback option.

Case studies

Case 01 · ZU, Lippo Group

Building a cross-brand loyalty platform from scratch

15M
Registered users
2M
Monthly active
300K
Daily transactions
1,000
TPS at peak
Context
Lippo Group runs retail (Hypermart), banking (Bank Nobu), and shopping malls, each with its own loyalty program. Points did not transfer across brands, so customers had no reason to be loyal to the group: only to a single store.
Problem
Build one loyalty platform that unifies three business entities with different points rules, without stopping live transactions.
Decision
Built ZU from scratch as a cross-brand platform with a modular rules engine (earning, burning, promo conversion) so each brand could keep its own points mechanics without touching core code. Led a points-balance migration across three brands at once, while the old loyalty engine was shut down in parallel with no rollback option.

Balance migration completed with zero reconciliation errors. For scale: ~15M users is roughly 6% of Indonesia's 235M internet users.

Case 02 · Cashbac

Launching Paylater

+40%
Monthly active users
+35%
Transaction volume
+25%
Payment adoption
Context
Cashbac, an Indonesian cashback app with 1,000+ merchant partners.
Problem
User and transaction growth had slowed, and the app had no payment method that attracted new users.
Decision
Shipped a Paylater MVP with fast KYC and no hidden fees or interest, then expanded payment channels (GoPay, BCA Debit) and tightened the activation funnel.
Case 03 · Cashbac

Preventing promo fraud

IDR 150M
Per month in potential fraud exposure cut
Context
Users were exploiting gaps in promo terms and conditions to collect extra rewards.
Problem
Losses from promo abuse were not visible per transaction; they only surfaced as leakage in monthly reports.
Decision
Analyzed transaction anomalies with SQL, then built rule-based prevention together with an internal fraud analyst and a third-party provider.

How I think about product

  1. P1

    Validate the problem first

Before measuring anything, I test whether the problem is real: competitor research, user interviews, or standing in the user's own shoes.

  2. P2

    Impact over effort

Once the problem is validated, I map it: big or small impact, big or small effort. Only one quadrant is out of bounds.

  3. P3

    Not a yes-man

I am not a yes-man, not to leadership, not to users, not to engineers. I weigh every request and answer with reasons.

  4. P4

    Design for a five-year-old

I design as if the user is five years old: assume nothing is understood, and make the problem solvable and the goal reachable.

  5. P5

    Security over smooth UX

When the data says a risk is real, I choose the safeguard over a smoother flow: better a little friction than a breached account.
